Senior Oncology Account Specialist (SOAS)
Role Responsibilities
- Promote Pfizer’s oncology product portfolio to healthcare providers/specialists.
- Educate the healthcare community on appropriate use of Pfizer products.
- Call on accounts and organized customers to improve patient experience and overall quality of patient care.
- Increase Pfizer’s brand with high-value target customers by assessing the account/business landscape and linking insights to Pfizer products/resources.
Basic Qualifications
- BA/BS (accredited) OR associate’s degree with 8+ years experience OR high school diploma (or equivalent) with 10+ years relevant experience.
- Travel domestically and stay overnight as necessary.
- Valid US driver’s license; any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within past 7 years disqualifies hire.
- 4+ years pharmaceutical sales experience OR 4+ years oncology HCP experience with key oncology thought leaders/influential customers in hospitals, large group practices, or managed care.
- Oncology sales experience required.
- Demonstrated track record of success in pharma sales or HCP experience.
- Ability to communicate technical/scientific disease management information.
- Business acumen.
- Proficiency with complex digital applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3–5 years oncology sales.
- Genitourinary therapeutic area experience.
- Relationships with Duke/UNC oncology leaders.
- Master’s or advanced HCP degree.
- Experience calling on institutions, NCI centers, and KOLs.
Functional/Technical Skills
- Promote broad portfolio; strong disease/therapeutic area/product knowledge.
- Generate demand; strategic territory/account/customer planning.
- Maintain institution relationships; access difficult-to-reach providers.
- Cultivate KOL relationships; influence and support throughout the selling process.
