Senior Medical Science Outcomes Liaison - Northern California

The Medical Science Outcomes Liaison (MSOL) is a field-based Medical Affairs professional responsible for providing scientific, clinical, health outcomes, and population health expertise regionally to key stakeholders across dialysis organizations, nephrology large group practices (LGPs), integrated delivery networks (IDNs), and other healthcare organizations involved in the care of patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD).

Responsibilities:
- Serve as Medical Affairs partner to assigned National Account Managers for dialysis, nephrology, and health system accounts.
- Collaborate on account planning; develop and execute Medical Account Plans (MAPs).
- Participate in account reviews and planning to identify scientific opportunities and customer needs.
- Provide scientific support to improve clinical outcomes, quality metrics, patient experience, care delivery, and population health performance.
- Facilitate evidence-based discussions; establish/maintain scientific relationships with medical, quality, pharmacy, and population health leaders.
- Translate clinical evidence, HEOR, RWE, epidemiologic data, and quality metrics into discussions supporting evidence-based decision making.
- Generate insights on trends, evidence gaps, unmet needs; support outcomes research, real-world evidence generation, and scientific collaboration.
- Support rare kidney disease pipeline readiness (relationships with academic centers/investigators; referral pathways and standards of care insights).

Qualifications (Basic):
- Advanced clinical/scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, DNP, NP, PA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years in pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare/clinical research/Medical Affairs
- Ability to communicate complex clinical/scientific information; strong evidence-based medicine knowledge
- Independent field-based experience in a highly regulated environment
- Excellent presentation/communication/relationship-building; cross-functional collaboration
- Travel up to 70%

Qualifications (Preferred):
- 5+ years in Medical Affairs/MSL/MSOL/MOL/HEOR/Market Access or related roles
- Experience in nephrology/CKD/dialysis/anemia/CVR-metabolic disease; understanding U.S. delivery (provider/payer/population health)
- Knowledge of value-based care/quality measurement; HEOR/RWE/epidemiology/quality outcomes data
- Value-based care, formulary, quality metrics, dialysis reimbursement/ESRD/CMS quality programs; CKD/dialysis pathways
- Rare disease/pipeline readiness; academic center engagement; clinical trial awareness/site engagement

Base Salary (targeted): $174,680–$215,781; additional benefits: health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, etc.
