(Senior) Medical Science Liaison, Rare Disease – DE, MD, Washington DC, VA, WV, and NC

Responsibilities:
- Engage Key Medical Experts (KMEs) and HCPs as a credible medical/scientific expert to increase confidence in clinical decisions for disease state and Biogen’s products.
- Build deep, strategic, long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Be responsive and solutions-driven; serve as a conduit to medical community leaders.
- Participate in projects/initiatives aligned to US Medical strategy, objectives, and tactics.
- Deliver against qualitative and quantitative medical excellence performance goals; execute KME engagement plans.
- Capture and report KME/HCP medical insights using Veeva with consistency and accuracy.

Qualifications / Required Skills:
- Advanced scientific or clinical degree required; Doctoral (MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP) strongly preferred.
- Field Medical Science Liaison experience required.
- Must reside within the territory (DE, MD, Washington DC, VA, WV, NC).
- Effective communication; bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
- Digital potential; comfortable adopting new technology/tools.
- Accountability to goals, metrics, and KPIs.
- Ethical understanding of industry rules.
- Travel at least 60% (overnight and occasional weekends).
- Must be 18+ with valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; authorization to drive company leased vehicle or rental.

Preferred Skills:
- Clinical expertise in Rare Disease, ALS, Friedreich Ataxia, and/or Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
