Senior Medical Science Liaison, NMOSD & gMG – Western NC and South Carolina
Territory: Western NC and South Carolina
Responsibilities
- Serve as a scientific liaison; establish, develop, and maintain relationships with prominent US experts and clinicians.
- Network and partner with external customers (medical thought leaders, academic institutions, group practices, medical directors, managed care decision makers, pharmacy directors) per compliance guidelines.
- Integrate and communicate scientific/medical information and product value to medical and internal/external audiences.
- Work self-directed in a changing environment; obtain, integrate, and communicate customer feedback.
- Pair unmet customer needs with internal resources; collaborate cross-functionally to address needs via scientific, medical, and health economic information.
- Identify and train potential speakers for sponsored external speaker programs.
- Attend/participate in national and regional conferences to support strategy, track clinical trends, and maintain relationships.
- With Medical Affairs/Clinical Development, evaluate external clinical research collaborations; facilitate IITs and company-sponsored trials.
- Monitor competitive environment and provide feedback to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Doctorate + 2 years Medical Affairs
OR Master’s + 6 years Medical Affairs
OR Bachelor’s + 8 years Medical Affairs
Preferred Qualifications/Skills
- Pharm.D./Ph.D./M.D./D.O.; 2+ years in medical science liaison role.
- Ability to excel in smaller organizations; exceptional oral/written and interpersonal skills; strong networking.
- Travel up to 60%; may work up to 15-hour days due to travel.
- Learn new business applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Proactive, professional demeanor; strong written/verbal communication.
