General Summary:
- Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr MSL) (Nephrology) for Vertex’s Nephrology programs including IgAN and AMKD.

Key Duties And Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with Thought Leaders and other HCPs to drive scientific engagement across a Nephrology network.
- Apply the Scientific Engagement Model (SEM) to interactions.
- Incorporate the medical plan into territory planning; capture feedback in CRM to inform medical strategy.
- Use CRM/analytics to capture interaction details, enhance engagements, and manage workload.
- Communicate scientific information compliantly to external stakeholders (disease state and product).
- Apply in-depth knowledge of regional payers and how payer dynamics impact patient care.
- Support clinical development/operations by presenting IB content, providing trial site nominations, and supporting end-of-study data reviews.
- Represent Vertex at medical congresses (session/abstract coverage, booth staffing, TL interactions, congress summaries, and debrief logistics as needed).
- Mentor/train less-experienced colleagues; support new hire onboarding.
- Ensure activities comply with Vertex policies and complete required administrative tasks (e.g., CRM entry, expenses, calendar entries, training).

Knowledge And Skills:
- Ability to meet goals on time and deliver high-quality results; plan projects in a changing field environment.
- Appraise medical/scientific literature; credibly present clinical/scientific information.
- Strong knowledge of assigned geographic territory, healthcare regulatory environment, compliance frameworks, payers, and HEOR.
- Fluent English (oral and written).

Education And Experience:
- Advanced biomedical/life sciences degree (e.g., Masters, NP, PA).
- Minimum 4 years’ experience as an MSL in Nephrology or other pharma/biotech medical affairs roles (or equivalent education/experience).
- Prior training/experience in the therapeutic area helpful.

Pay Range:
- $171,300–$256,900; eligible for annual bonus and annual equity awards (and potentially overtime where required).
