Senior Medical Science Liaison β Dermatology (Northern New Jersey territory)
The Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) serves as a strategic field-based scientific/clinical expert integrating internal and external data to inform medical engagement, patient care, and territory strategy.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a territory scientific engagement plan aligned to Medical Affairs strategy and objectives.
- Conduct high-quality two-way scientific exchange with KOLs/HCPs; identify trends, unmet needs, and educational gaps.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with community and academic HCPs/KOLs.
- Use MSL tools/AI to enhance engagement strategy, decision-making, efficiency, and outcomes.
- Identify provider educational needs and deliver tailored, scientifically balanced information.
- Translate complex clinical evidence into meaningful scientific discussions; ask questions and clarify misconceptions.
- Collect and submit actionable insights to inform medical strategy and asset planning.
- Support investigators and internal partners for company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies.
- Respond promptly to unsolicited research/clinical inquiries with compliant, objective information.
- Execute Medical Affairs strategy; collaborate compliantly in a matrix environment.
- Perform administrative tasks accurately (e.g., expense reports/documentation).
Qualifications (Required)
- Doctorate-level degree or equivalent (PharmD/PhD/MD/APR, etc.); post-graduate experience for doctoral candidates (preference: therapeutic clinical experience).
- 2+ years of relevant experience, including demonstrated success as an MSL.
- Valid US Driverβs License.
- Ability to travel up to 70%.
Preferred
- Residency/fellowship; therapeutic area knowledge.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint, CoPilot, computers and remote technologies.
- AI/ emerging tech learning; related clinical/research/pharma experience.
