Senior Medical Science Liaison (Dermatology) — Northern New Jersey territory
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a territory scientific engagement plan aligned to Medical Affairs strategy and objectives.
- Conduct high-quality two-way scientific exchange with KOLs/HCPs using fair, balanced, non-promotional information.
- Identify trends, unmet needs, and educational gaps; tailor provider education accordingly.
- Cultivate professional relationships across community and academic HCPs/KOLs.
- Use MSL tools/insights to find gaps, risks, and opportunities to improve medical impact.
- Leverage AI tools to improve decision-making and efficiency.
- Translate complex clinical evidence into meaningful scientific dialogue; respond to inquiries with compliant, objective information.
- Collect and submit actionable insights to inform medical strategy and cross-functional discussions.
- Support investigators/internal partners for company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies; respond to unsolicited research/clinical inquiries.
- Compliantly collaborate within a matrix; maintain competency in regulatory/healthcare compliance and Medical Affairs SOPs.
Qualifications
- Doctorate degree or equivalent experience required (PharmD/PhD/MD/APP, etc.); post-graduate experience required for doctoral candidates; preference for therapeutic clinical experience.
- 2+ years relevant experience, including demonstrated MSL success.
- Up to 70% travel; must hold a valid US Driver’s License.
Preferred
- Residency/fellowship; therapeutic area knowledge/experience; related clinical/research/pharma experience.
- Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint/CoPilot; familiarity with computers and remote technologies; commitment to emerging tech (AI).
