Responsibilities
- Field-based, external customer-facing role analyzing, interpreting, and disseminating scientific data and translating customer (HCP/KOL) insights to advance medical strategy and improve patient outcomes.
- Territory: AZ, NM, TX, OK, AR, LA, TN, MS (must reside in territory).
- Build and maintain KOL/HCP relationships (minimum 80% externally focused).
- Analyze complex scientific information and disseminate in a compliant, fair-balanced, non-misleading manner.
- Support Takeda-sponsored research and facilitate medical collaborative studies and investigator-initiated research.
- Collect, interpret, and internally communicate medical insights to refine strategy/tactics.
- Identify/cultivate KOL/HCP partnership opportunities.
- Execute medical strategy at conferences and respond to unsolicited HCP inquiries referred by Medical Information.
- Use digital tools/AI to improve engagement planning and insights reporting.
- Complete required documentation (CRM entries, insights capture, training, expense reporting) accurately and compliantly.
Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s in health sciences (MSN, NP, or PA) minimum (PharmD/MD/PhD preferred).
- 2+ years post-doctorate as a pharmaceutical field-based MSL.
- Excellent written/verbal communication, organization, and collaboration.
- Ability to execute activities within legal/regulatory/compliance requirements.
Preferred:
- Dissemination of complex scientific data to healthcare audiences; relevant therapeutic area expertise.
- Clinical/research/teaching experience; experience in virtual/cross-functional teams.
- Use of digital tools/AI.
Travel Requirements
- Up to 70% travel; some overnight/weekend; ability to drive/fly; clean valid driver’s license.
