Senior Medical Science Liaison (field-based, external customer-facing)
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, interpret, and disseminate scientific data; acquire and translate customer (KOL/HCP) insights.
- Build and maintain KOL/HCP relationships aligned to territory medical strategy (β₯80% external KOL/HCP activities).
- Support Takeda-sponsored research; assist with medical collaborative studies and investigator-initiated research.
- Collect, interpret, and communicate medical insights internally to refine strategies/tactics.
- Identify and cultivate partnership opportunities between KOLs/HCPs and Takeda US Medical.
- Execute medical strategy at conferences; communicate insights from poster/session attendance.
- Respond to unsolicited HCP medical inquiries (referred by Medical Information) within timelines/quality standards.
- Use digital tools (including AI) to improve productivity; complete required documentation (CRM, insights capture, training, expenses).
- Understand and adhere to Takeda policies/procedures and code of conduct.
Territory: Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Mississippi (must reside in territory).
Minimum requirements:
- Masterβs in health sciences (MSN/NP/PA) minimum; doctoral degree preferred (PharmD/MD/PhD or equivalent).
- 2+ years post-doctorate as an MSL in pharma.
- Strong written/verbal communication, organization, and collaboration.
- Execute work within legal/regulatory/compliance requirements.
Preferred:
- Complex scientific data dissemination; relevant therapeutic area expertise.
- Clinical/research/teaching experience; virtual/cross-functional teamwork.
- Use of digital tools/AI.
Travel: Up to 70% (overnight/weekend), drive and/or fly; clean valid driverβs license.
Compensation/benefits (if eligible): Base salary range $151,100β$237,490; may include incentives and medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, disability/life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, holidays, and well-being benefits.
