About the Role / Responsibilities:
- Field-based, external, customer-facing Senior Medical Science Liaison (territory: AZ, NM, TX, OK, AR, LA, TN, MS; must reside in territory).
- Analyze, interpret, and disseminate scientific data; acquire and translate customer insights; foster external expert networks; connect customers to Takeda to advance medical strategy and improve patient outcomes.
- Maintain KOL/HCP relationships (β₯80% externally focused) aligned to territory medical strategy.
- Support Takeda-sponsored research and medical collaborative/investigator-initiated research processes.
- Collect, interpret, and internally communicate medical insights to refine strategies/tactics.
- Identify/cultivate partnership opportunities between KOLs/HCPs and Takeda US Medical.
- Execute medical strategy at conferences; respond (within timelines) to unsolicited HCP medical inquiries referred by Medical Information.
- Use digital tools (including AI) to improve productivity; complete required documentation (CRM, insights capture, training, expenses) accurately and compliantly.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:
- Masterβs degree in health sciences (MSN/NP/PA) minimum; Doctoral degree (PharmD/MD/PhD or equivalent) preferred.
- 2+ years post-doctorate field-based MSL experience in pharma.
- Excellent written/verbal communication, organization, collaboration.
- Ability to execute activities within legal/regulatory/compliance requirements.
Preferred:
- Dissemination of complex scientific data; relevant therapeutic area expertise.
- Clinical/research/teaching experience; virtual and cross-functional teamwork.
- Use of digital tools (including AI).
Travel:
- Up to 70% travel (including some overnight/weekend); valid driverβs license.
Compensation/Benefits (as stated):
- Base salary range: $151,100β$237,490; may be eligible for incentives and benefits (medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, holidays, well-being; up to 80 hrs sick time; up to 120 hrs paid vacation for new hires).
