About the Role
Remote, field-based Senior Medical Science Liaison (external customer-facing US therapeutic area medical team) supporting NE, MO, KS.
How you will contribute
- Build and maintain professional relationships with KOLs/HCPs aligned to individual territory medical strategy (externally-focused KOL/HCP activities β₯80%)
- Analyze and interpret complex scientific information and disseminate it compliantly, fairly, and non-misleadingly to KOLs/HCPs
- Support Takeda-sponsored research; facilitate medical collaborative studies and investigator-initiated research
- Collect, interpret, and internally communicate medical insights from KOLs/HCPs to inform/refine medical strategies and tactics
- Identify and cultivate partnership opportunities between KOLs/HCPs and Takeda US Medical
- Participate in executing medical strategy at medical conferences and communicate key insights internally
- Respond to unsolicited HCP medical information inquiries (per timelines/quality standards) referred by Medical Information
- Complete compliant customer activity documentation (e.g., CRM/insights capture), training, expense reporting, and administrative tasks
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
- Masterβs degree in health sciences (MSN, NP, or PA)
- Preferred: Doctoral degree in life/health sciences (PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent)
- 2+ years of field-based MSL experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Excellent written/verbal communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Other Desired Experience and Skills Include
- Dissemination of complex scientific data; therapeutic area expertise
- Clinical, research, and/or teaching experience
- Ability to work in virtual, cross-functional teams; execution within legal/regulatory/compliance requirements
Travel requirements
- Up to 70% travel (including some overnight/weekends); drive/fly to meetings; clean, valid driverβs license
