About The Role
The Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr MSL) is a field-based extension of the US Medical Affairs organization. Sr MSLs develop medical thought-leader relationships, provide medical information via scientific exchange, and deliver clinical/scientific support for Greenwich Biosciences and the Medical Affairs department.
Florida/Georgia Territory
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop peer-to-peer relations with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare providers in neurology & epilepsy therapeutic areas
- Develop and execute territory plans aligned with regional and national Medical Affairs plans
- Collaborate cross-functionally to maximize territory opportunities
- Identify and communicate key clinical/research issues, insights, and data gaps from KOLs to appropriate departments
- Participate in medical education for HCPs (on-site presentations, investigator meetings, national conferences, advisory boards, regional meetings)
- Provide scientific/clinical support to formulary committees or payers with Market Access
- Provide and lead scientific support for medical congress staffing, advisory boards, and sales training initiatives
- Respond to unsolicited questions with appropriate clinical information in group and one-on-one settings
- Serve as a medical consultant to the internal medical information department for quality standard response letters
- Act as primary liaison to investigators for investigator-initiated trials (IIT)
- Monitor IITs, review study design, and oversee milestone requirements
- Support patient enrollment in company-sponsored trials with site recommendations and partnership
- Serve as internal scientific advisor (as needed) for evaluation of new products/technologies
Requirements
- MS degree in scientific/medical discipline; MD, PharmD, or PhD strongly preferred
- MSL experience
- MSL experience in epilepsy, spasticity and/or cannabinoid science strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to partner and maintain relationships in the medical community
- Excellent presentation/teaching skills with strong scientific and pharmaceutical knowledge
- Clinical/research experience in epilepsy, neurology and/or cannabinoid science preferred
- Preferred: working knowledge of US legal/regulatory/compliance guidelines for healthcare professional interactions
- Strong capabilities with digital platforms and tools
- Willing to travel 60β80%
- Valid driverβs license and live within 30 miles of a major airport
