About the role:
Senior Medical Science Liaison (field-based, external, customer-facing) for the US therapeutic area medical unit. Report to the Director, MSL. Rocky Mountain territory: CO, UT, AZ, NM, NE, KS (must reside in territory).
How you will contribute:
- Build and maintain professional relationships with KOLs/HCPs aligned to territory plans and medical strategy.
- Analyze, interpret, and disseminate complex scientific information compliantly, fairly, and non-misleadingly.
- Acquire and translate customer insights; identify partnership opportunities between KOLs/HCPs and Takeda US Medical.
- Support Takeda-sponsored research and assist with strategically aligned medical collaborative and investigator-initiated research.
- Collect, interpret, and internally communicate medical insights to inform/refine medical strategies.
- Execute medical strategy at conferences (e.g., booth; share insights from posters/sessions and interactions).
- Respond to unsolicited HCP medical information inquiries referred by Medical Information.
- Complete required customer activity documentation (e.g., CRM entries/insights capture), training, expense reporting, and other admin tasks.
- Externally-focused KOL/HCP activities: minimum 80% of responsibilities.
Minimum requirements:
- Masterβs degree in health sciences (MSN, NP, or PA). Doctoral degree preferred (PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent).
- 2+ years field-based MSL experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Excellent written/verbal communication, organization, and collaboration.

Travel:
- Up to 70% travel (including some overnight/weekend); drive/fly to meetings; valid driverβs license.
