Role Overview
- Responsible for development and execution of Medical Affairs plans and leadership/direction of a cross-functional Medical Affairs team for breast cancer products (launch through lifecycle).
- Serve as subject matter expert to provide strategic insight for breast cancer treatment landscape to inform development program and commercial opportunity assessment.
- Provide direction/support to internal colleagues (development, sales, marketing, regulatory, clinical), resolve medical issues, and own medical narrative/field/training materials.
- Lead strategic partnerships with key opinion leaders and professional societies in Oncology; represent Medical Affairs externally via presentations and interactions with key investigators.
- Collaborate with development/alliance partners as needed.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Provide US priorities/insights for breast cancer research plan, study design, and execution.
- Align with GMSA and development organization on prioritized analyses, interpretation, and publication of evidence from pivotal trials.
- Support label development and indication negotiations.
- Develop, execute, and manage medical strategy for breast cancer indications from launch through lifecycle.
- Partner with Commercial to derive brand plans; support Medical and Promotional Review committee.
- Partner with GMSA to align on evidence generation needs and execute studies with HEOR, GV, and RWE.
- Act as SME for cross-functional initiatives (Commercial, BD, Communications, IR, Advocacy Strategy).
- Identify opportunities to enable the oncology care community using Jazz assets.
Required/Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 10+ years of Medical Affairs or equivalent experience (required).
- Oncology care delivery experience (preferred); breast cancer oncology launch/lifecycle management (strongly desired).
- Outstanding verbal and written communication; ability to influence without authority.
- Proven success in matrix organizations; independent critical thinking and execution under time pressure with competing priorities.
- Self-awareness/emotional intelligence in complex matrix environments.
Required Education/Licenses
- Advanced degree required (PhD, PharmD, MD, DO, Doctor of Nursing, Physician’s Assistant).
