Senior Medical Director, Clinical Science (Neuroscience) – Cambridge, MA (Hybrid)

Responsibilities/Objectives:
- Lead and drive strategy for global (US/EU/Japan) clinical development for assigned pipeline compounds.
- Lead multi-disciplinary, multi-regional matrix teams to create, maintain, and execute global clinical development plans for regulatory approval.
- Set strategic direction influencing TGRD/TPC senior leadership; deliver β€œgo/no go” and development plan/study design recommendations.
- Lead development team strategy and deliverables (Development Strategy, Clinical Development Plan, Clinical Protocols); assess data and recommend high-impact regional/global decisions.
- Drive synopsis/protocol development, clinical study design/interpretation; present conclusions and assess impact on compound strategy.
- Oversee trial medical monitoring, subject safety/protocol conduct (with Pharmacovigilance) and ensure scientific integrity.
- Lead regulatory/KOL interactions; direct clinical inputs to regulatory documents and responses.
- Support business development: due diligence and negotiation of clinical development plans for alliances/in-licensing.
- Hire/manage/mentor staff; participate in task forces and cross-functional/global teams.

Qualifications:
- MD or equivalent + 7 years clinical research/pharma/CRO/academia experience.
- Prior experience leading clinical development/matrix teams across multiple regions.
- NDA/MAA/submission experience preferred; management experience.

Skills/Knowledge:
- Strong communication, strategy, interpersonal, negotiation; proactive issue solving; decision-making in matrix teams; diplomacy.
- Therapeutic area knowledge (sleep medicine preferred); regional/global regulatory requirements; GCP/ICH.

Travel: ~15–25%.

Compensation/Benefits (if applicable): US base salary range $257,600–$404,800; may include incentives, medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, PTO, holidays, well-being, sick time, and paid vacation.
