Role Summary
The Senior Manager, US Medical Affairs supports execution of Dyneβs US Medical Affairs strategy for the Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) program, including launch readiness and US Medical initiatives such as KOL engagement, congress execution, medical education, and cross-functional coordination.
Primary Responsibilities Include
- Supports execution of US Medical Affairs tactical plans for the DMD program
- Assists in implementing scientific platform materials, congress planning, and medical education initiatives
- Contributes to cross-functional launch readiness activities aligned to program milestones
- Supports development and deployment of DMD-focused scientific materials, disease state education resources, and field medical tools
- Partners with the US MSL team for KOL identification, engagement planning, insight gathering, and field metric tracking
- Translates field insights into actionable recommendations for Medical Affairs and cross-functional teams
- Tracks and monitors field activity and engagement effectiveness
- Contributes to development of scientific materials, field tools, and educational content
- Provides medical review for promotional materials through the Promotional Review Committee (PRC)
- Maintains current scientific knowledge in DMD and Dyneβs therapeutic platform
- Supports planning and execution of medical congresses and onsite activities aligned to DMD milestones
- Coordinates logistics for US advisory boards and expert engagements
- Partners with Patient Advocacy, Market Access, and Commercial teams to support aligned medical activities
- Ensures all activities comply with US regulatory, legal, and compliance standards
Education and Skills Requirements
- Advanced scientific or clinical degree required (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent)
- 7+ years relevant Medical Affairs experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry
- Rare disease experience preferred; neuromuscular disease experience a plus
- Experience supporting US-based medical tactics, congress activities, or field medical programs
- Strong scientific acumen; ability to translate clinical data for diverse audiences
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment with competing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships (internal/external)
- Ability to travel up to 25% (occasional overnight/weekend)
