Position Summary
Senior Manager, Enterprise Thought Leadership & Crisis & Issues Communications.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute enterprise thought leadership opportunities to elevate BMS leadership voice.
- Identify, vet, and present thought leadership opportunities; conduct benchmarking to find “white space.”
- Write talking points, messaging, materials, and develop award submissions.
- Monitor and analyze impact/reach (engagement metrics, media coverage, industry recognition).
- Support enterprise crisis communications scenario planning (readiness, agile response, continuous improvement, alignment with protocols).
- Support implementation of crisis response plans; align with stakeholders and strategize with interdisciplinary teams.
- Uphold integrity and stakeholder obligations when managing reputation and risk scenarios.

Key Qualifications
- 7 years in corporate communications, thought leadership, media relations, issues management, or related areas (ideally healthcare/life sciences or highly regulated industry).
- Excellent writing and research; strong attention to detail.
- Experience supporting senior leaders in high-visibility external engagements (speaking, media, thought leadership).
- Strong storytelling; ability to translate complex scientific/business/policy/societal issues into clear messaging.
- Project management success in matrixed environments; manage major projects and deadlines.
- Superior verbal and interpersonal communication; strong problem-solving/analysis/decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Political Science, or related field.
