Position Summary:
- Manage external publication vendors and edit medically relevant scientific presentations (clinical/scientific/health economics abstracts, posters, and oral presentations) to meet scientific and medical objectives in accordance with Publication Policy Procedures and ICMJE/GPP3 guidelines.
- Assist with creation of scientific documents (e.g., MSL training slide decks, training tools, FAQs).
- Communicate with external authors and internal stakeholders; provide project updates to medical leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Understand relevant scientific/medical content.
- Review/edit congress oral and poster presentation content.
- Implement the publication management system.
- Develop scientific training tactics (internal MSL decks, tools, FAQs).
- Engage subject matter experts to support scientific communication content.
- Manage and contribute to global publication/scientific communications plans.
- Partner with Medical Communications and Publications agencies on strategies and deliverables.
- Execute congress publication timelines (medical/scientific/HE abstracts, posters, oral presentations).
- Support MLR Committee review/approvals as appropriate.
- Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Clinical Research & Development; Compliance, Safety, Biostatistics, Clinical Operations, Commercial) to ensure accurate, timely delivery.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Advanced degree; 3+ years in scientific communication, training, and/or publications planning/development (agency/pharma environment).
- Strong project management and stakeholder alignment skills (KOLs/authors/cross-functional teams).
- Experience developing abstracts, posters, and oral presentations with cross-functional stakeholders and/or agencies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; highly organized; able to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing vendors and budgets.
- Advanced MS/Internet skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Veeva RIM), PubStrat/Datavision, EndNote, PubMed.
- Travel ~30% (US and international).
Compensation:
- Salary range: $170,000β$190,000 USD (base salary only).
