Responsibilities:
- Translate therapeutic area congress strategy into an operational plan (sponsorships, abstracts/posters, symposia, medical engagements, digital content, communications).
- Lead end-to-end execution of congress medical activities; provide onsite congress leadership.
- Develop and manage booth and digital assets using platforms such as Veeva (review/approval workflows, version control, asset reuse with subject matter experts).
- Manage agency partners to deliver on budget and timelines.
- Own booth staffing, training, and onsite communications.
- Ensure compliance readiness (training, documentation, sponsorship approval processes).
- Partner with Compliance and Strategic Global Giving on sponsorship governance.
- Lead pre- and post-congress planning cadence; share best practices, tools, templates.
- Monitor return-on-objective metrics; support planning meetings and post-congress debriefs.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelorβs degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 3+ yearsβ experience in congress communications/operations/medical communications (pharma/biotech).
- Proven success leading complex congress execution (onsite leadership, stakeholder coordination, issue resolution).
- Strong cross-functional partnership skills across Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Publications, Corporate Affairs, Compliance/Legal, Commercial, and agencies.
- Ability to translate complex medical content into impactful congress engagements.
- Proficiency with content review/approval platforms (e.g., Veeva Vault) and digital asset governance.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills; data-driven.
Preferred Skills:
- Strategic thinker with strong execution focus and attention to detail.
- Collaborative leader in matrixed environments; influence without authority.
