Description:
The Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) serves as a finance thought partner to pre-clinical and clinical operations and other R&D teams, responsible for financial strategy, planning, forecasting, performance management, and decision support.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with pre-clinical and clinical operations, R&D, and other stakeholders to prepare budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans
- Serve as a trusted financial thought partner with insights and recommendations to guide decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information for financial analyses
- Support month-end close activities with Accounting, including monthly accruals and spend analyses
- Approve, track, and manage vendor commitments, purchase orders, and invoices to ensure financial control
- Support financial reporting with actionable insights via dashboards, variance analysis, KPI tracking, and management reports
- Support strategic initiatives through scenario modeling and ad-hoc financial analyses
- Identify opportunities to continuously improve financial processes and systems
Requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA preferred
- Minimum 5 years of progressive Finance experience in biotech/pharma/life sciences
- FP&A experience supporting clinical operations or R&D
- Knowledge of clinical trial processes, CRO contracts, and R&D operations
- Ability to influence and communicate with senior stakeholders
- Ability to analyze complex data sets, distill insights, and make recommendations
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, forecasting, and variance analysis skills
- Proven ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams
- Expertise in Adaptive Insights, ERP systems, and accounting principles (particularly clinical trial accruals)
- Self-starter who can operate independently, drive process improvements, and manage priorities with speed and agility

Compensation (as stated):
- Annual base salary range: $136,000 - $184,000; eligible for discretionary annual bonus and discretionary stock-based long-term incentives
