Primary objective: Provide financial leadership for Month-end, Plan, LBE, LRP planning, and DSO/Balance Sheet processes; provide financial analysis, recommendations, and decision-support; and develop/implement processes to enable accurate and timely planning consolidations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Planning/Actual process to integrate forecasting/sales, pricing, product marketing, market research, and senior financial inputs to meet division/corporate calendar deadlines and quality submission.
- Prepare and present accurate, complete planning information to Executive Staff and Corporate Planning Groups.
- Recommend planning key assumptions and analyze variances and business trends; interface with senior management and multiple functions/areas/affiliates.
- Lead/participate in SAC go-live (including UAT) and ensure reports/dashboards are accurately transferred from Longview to SAC.
- Staff development: delegate to, coach, and provide career development opportunities for supported businesses.
- Interface with internal/external business unit functions (e.g., Operations, R&D, Corporate Planning and other Corporate Groups) with high self-motivation and autonomy.
- Act as a trusted advisor, challenge business partners on performance, and suggest solutions to performance issues.
- Proactively lead Finance Transformation / Lighthouse initiatives to improve simplification, efficiency, and deliverable quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs Degree required in Accounting or Finance.
- Preferred: MBA in Accounting or Finance and/or CPA/CMA.
- Preferred: Multi-division experience and knowledge of financial planning systems (Longview and BPC).
- 7β10 years progressive accounting or finance experience.
- Ability to proactively identify/evaluate business problems and opportunities.
- Ability to direct efforts to achieve answers/results.
- Ability to solve business problems via issue identification and collection/analysis/interpretation of data.
- Demonstrated problem solving and analysis using AbbVie financial policies (CFMs) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
