Role Responsibilities
- Plan and execute medical strategy and compliant engagement with customers in an assigned territory.
- Maintain deep therapeutic area/disease state knowledge; deliver truthful, balanced scientific information for unsolicited HCP requests.
- Share medical/customer insights internally to inform medical strategy, content, and execution.
- Identify gaps between evidence and real-world practice; engage customers in scientific dialogue.
- Communicate via live/virtual and written channels; optimize patient centricity (health literacy/cultural awareness).
- Deliver approved medical content to HCPs locally/regionally/nationally; identify and engage appropriate customer segments.
- Field inbound medical inquiries via triage and ensure timely compliant follow-up.
- Support clinical trials and Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR); cultivate expertise via literature review, congresses, and external experts.
- Partner cross-functionally on site/investigator engagement, committees, and medical initiatives; maintain compliance training and document interactions using digital tools.
Qualifications
- MD required.
- 0+ years relevant experience in clinical practice, clinical research, health services research, or medical affairs (increasing responsibility).
- Experience with independent scientific exchange with HCPs (therapeutic area experience highly desirable).
- Excellent communication; ability to influence/collaborate in a matrixed organization; manage multiple priorities in a field environment.
- Proficiency with digital tools; ability to synthesize scientific evidence and real-world insights.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior Field Medical/Medical Affairs experience.
- Familiarity with pharma industry regulations/codes/guidelines for HCP interactions.
Requirements / Logistics
- Territory: NY; must reside in NY; travel 50–80%; valid US driver’s license.
