Role Summary
Senior Manager, Corporate Meetings responsible for managing and overseeing all meetings and congresses for assigned business units, engaging internal and external stakeholders. Lead high-touch, complex projects, mentor meeting and congress managers, and ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements. Focus on strategic meeting management to reduce costs while enhancing stakeholder experience.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Meeting Planning & Project Management
- Lead complex, high-touch meetings, including large-scale events with North American Leadership Team involvement (e.g., National Summit, Leadership Summit, Cambridge Summit, NALT Offsites)
- Advisory on Meeting Architecture for virtual and in-person meetings; manage program agendas
- Lead Cross-functional Planning Teams; manage timelines and alignment
- Manage Complex Meeting Budgets; negotiate, forecast, and reconcile expenses
- Innovative Meeting Solutions; identify and integrate best practices
- Congress Management; support exhibits, sponsorships, ancillary events as needed
- Site Selection; evaluate venues for scale and objectives; ensure compliance with Code of Conduct
- Budget Oversight; track overall and individual meeting budgets; ensure financial controls
- Annual Operating Plan Budget Planning; collaborate with therapeutic area leads on budgets and targets
- Vendor & Supplier Management; oversee performance, SLAs, reviews, and improvements
- Foster Strategic Partnerships with suppliers to drive innovation and cost-effectiveness
- Employee Training & Development; mentor and train new employees
- Team Development & Process Improvement; guide continuous learning and SOP improvements
- Compliance Processing for HCP Engagements; maintain knowledge of HIPAA, Sunshine Act, and ensure adherence
Qualifications
- Required: Minimum High School Diploma; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Must have 7+ years of hands-on experience planning and executing complex, high-touch meetings and events
- Must have at least 3 yearsβ direct management and oversight of project teams
- Excellent communication skills; experience presenting to senior leadership and managing stakeholder expectations
- Strong strategic project, time, and budget management skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels (Administrative to C-level)
- Highly organized; creative problem-solver with the ability to innovate in complex meeting challenges
- Ability to travel at least 25% of the time in the US
