Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Lead/facilitate product development teams and matrix representatives to identify development strategies for further analysis.
- Perform financial analysis of development options and communicate tradeoffs to enable value-driven R&D decisions.
- Clearly communicate findings to development teams and senior management.
- Integrate other analytic services to ensure teams use BMS’s full analytics capabilities.
- Build understanding of other teams’ capabilities and determine when to involve them to make recommendations serving BMS and patients.
- Develop commercial and development expertise to support and challenge development teams.
- Quantify technical/regulatory risks and integrate assessments with commercial revenue/cost projections to value R&D investments for portfolio planning.
- Support evaluation of licensing and business development opportunities within the therapeutic area; support cross-therapeutic area portfolio reviews.
- Raise key issues and opportunities to team and therapeutic area management.
- Stay current on decision analysis and risk assessment advances.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline, Finance, Management Science, or related field; graduate degree strongly preferred.
- 5+ years in forecasting, financial modeling, valuation, and/or decision analysis; probability-based revenue risk adjustments (preferably in pharma) highly preferred.
- Proven ability to structure/complete insightful financial analyses and communicate to senior management.
- Strong financial valuation modeling/analysis using spreadsheet software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Business development and commercial valuation experience.
- Decision analysis techniques for investments under uncertainty; standard Excel packages.
Compensation and Benefits (if eligible):
- Princeton, NJ: $152,150–$184,370; additional incentive cash/stock may be available.
