Discover Your Role:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of U.S. employee benefits programs (health plans and additional benefits), ensuring timely enrollment, compliance, and accurate transaction processing; escalate and resolve complex benefits issues.
- Lead, mentor, and manage benefits specialists; provide coaching, training, and professional development in a collaborative, continuous-improvement environment.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA); oversee required regulatory reporting; stay current on legal changes and update policies/procedures.
- Manage benefits vendors and third-party administrators (contracting, service levels, performance evaluation).
- Partner with HR leadership to design and implement benefits strategies aligned to organizational goals; analyze data to identify cost-saving and program enhancements.
- Create employee communications and education (informational sessions, workshops, open enrollment); address employee inquiries.
- Collaborate with the Law Department and partner with the HR service center.
This Role Requires:
- Bachelorβs degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; 10+ years in employee benefits management, including leading a team.
- Experience administering a self-insured health plan (plan design and budgeting).
- Strong presentation skills.
- Ability to resolve complex issues using knowledge of legal requirements; problem-solving and creative thinking.
- CEBS or similar credential preferred.
- Strong knowledge of benefits laws and regulations.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS/benefits software; Excel and Microsoft Office suite.
