Role Summary

Senior Health & Science Specialist, Rare Disease Endocrinology – Nashville, TN. Target key Centers of Excellence and select community practices to drive Pfizer's Rare Disease portfolio, including Somavert, Ngenla and Genotropin. Travel required based on geography.

Responsibilities

  • Form collaborative partnerships with decision-makers at large COEs, integrated delivery networks, medical groups, and infusion centers to conduct need assessments and deliver compliant solutions to increase access and the appropriate use of Somavert, Ngenla, Genotropin.
  • Utilize advanced selling skills and approaches to achieve sales target goals.
  • Possess in-depth expertise of assigned products and their therapeutic areas, including payer and market issues, patient service offerings, competitors, and disease states.
  • Responsible for commercial communications and contact with COEs, KOLs, HCPs, Growth Hormone Coordinators and patient support staff.
  • Collaboratively work with Trade and Payer colleagues to execute national and regional payer strategies.
  • Lead the local coordination of internal colleagues at targeted accounts to maximize opportunities and enable pull-through of access.
  • Collaboration with sales colleagues, government relations, Payer Channel Access, marketing, and other Pfizer colleagues.
  • Prioritize customers, opportunities, and projects to maximize impact using data and stakeholder input.
  • Work with government relations to establish state policies and implement tactics across brands.
  • Execute marketing programs across customer segments using approved materials to deliver value-added messaging in a compliant manner; develop and execute strategic programs with market and financial impact.
  • Drive innovation approaches and provide local insights to marketing and strategy teams.
  • Cultivate relationships and gain support from COEs, KOLs, and decision-makers.
  • Maintain active customer plans and data sets and share information with business partners.
  • Exceed product performance objectives for the assigned portfolio.
  • Manage Tactical Business Objectives including portfolio utilization, teamwork, project management, and administration.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA required or an associate’s degree with 8+ years of experience; or a high school diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • 5–10 years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience with at least three years in specialty sales or demonstrated leadership in a similar role.
  • Strong sales history, territory management, communications, teamwork, leadership, and accountability.
  • Proven ability to assess account needs and bring compliant cross-functional tools to drive performance.
  • Solid business acumen, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and project management skills; strong planning and prioritization.
  • Experience with thought leaders or high-influence customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations preferred.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to analyze data and draw compliant conclusions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; ability to influence and adhere to company policies.
  • Ability to travel domestically and stay overnight as necessary.
  • Valid US driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards. Recent DUI/DWI or impaired driving citations disqualify.
