Role Summary

Senior Health & Science Specialist, Rare Disease Endocrinology - Nashville, TN. The role targets key Centers of Excellence and select community practices in Endocrinology, Pediatric and Adult Endocrinology to drive Pfizer's Rare Disease portfolio (Somavert, Ngenla, Genotropin). Travel 40% based on geography.

Responsibilities

  • Form collaborative partnerships with decision-makers at large COEs, integrated delivery networks, medical groups, and infusion centers to conduct need assessments and deliver compliant solutions to increase access and the appropriate use of Somavert, Ngenla, Genotropin.
  • Utilize advanced selling skills to achieve sales target goals.
  • Possess in-depth product and therapeutic area expertise, including payer and market issues, patient service offerings, competitors, and disease states.
  • Manage commercial communications and contact with COEs, KOLs, HCPs, Growth Hormone Coordinators, and patient support staff.
  • Collaborate with Trade and Payer colleagues to execute national and regional payer strategies.
  • Coordinate with internal colleagues at targeted accounts to maximize opportunities and enable pull-through of access.
  • Coordinate with partners across sales, government relations, marketing, PCA, and other Pfizer teams.
  • Prioritize customers, opportunities, and projects using data and stakeholder input to optimize decision-making.
  • Engage with government relations to establish state policies and deploy tactics for all brands.
  • Execute marketing programs using approved materials to deliver compliant, value-added messaging; develop strategic programs with near/ mid/ long-term impact.
  • Drive innovation to exceed business objectives by engaging leadership.
  • Provide local market insights to marketing and strategy teams for material development.
  • Cultivate relationships with COEs, KOLs, and decision-makers; maintain active customer plans and data sets.
  • Exceed product performance objectives for the assigned portfolio.
  • Contribute to Tactical Business Objectives (portfolio utilization, teamwork, project management, administration).

Qualifications

  • Required: BS/BA degree; or associate’s with 8+ years experience; or high school diploma with 10+ years relevant experience.
  • 5–10 years pharmaceutical/biotech experience with at least three years in specialty sales (preferred).
  • Proven sales success, strong territory management, outstanding communication, teamwork, leadership, and accountability.
  • Experience assessing account needs and delivering compliant cross-functional tools and resources.
  • Strong business acumen, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and project management; excellent planning and prioritization.
  • Experience with thought leaders or high-influence customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations (preferred).
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to analyze data and draw compliant conclusions using sales data and call reporting tools.
  • Interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; ability to influence and adhere to company policies.
  • Ability to travel domestically and stay overnight as necessary.
  • Valid US driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards. DUI/DWI or similar within past 7 years disqualifies.
