Role Summary

Senior Health & Science Specialist, Rare Disease Endocrinology - Denver, CO. The position targets key Centers of Excellence and select community practices focusing on Endocrinology/Pituitary Specialists, Pediatric and Adult Endocrinologists to drive Pfizer's Rare Disease portfolio of Somavert, Ngenla, and Genotropin. Travel up to 40% based on geography.

Responsibilities

  • Form collaborative partnerships with decision-makers at large COEs, integrated delivery networks, medical groups, and infusion centers to conduct need assessments and deliver compliant solutions to increase access and the appropriate use of Somavert, Ngenla, Genotropin.
  • Utilize advanced selling skills and approaches to achieve sales target goals.
  • Possess in-depth expertise of assigned products and their therapeutic areas, including advanced selling skills, conflict resolution, knowledge of payer and market issues, patient service offerings, competitors, and disease states.
  • Responsible for commercial communications and contact with COEs, KOLs, HCPs, Growth Hormone Coordinators and patient support staff.
  • Collaboratively work with Trade and Payer colleagues to execute national and regional payer strategies.
  • Lead the local coordination of internal colleagues at targeted accounts through communication and collaboration to ensure alignment across stakeholders to maximize opportunities and enable pull-through of access.
  • Collaboration with sales colleagues, government relations, Payer Channel Access (PCA), marketing, and other Pfizer colleagues.
  • Prioritize customers, opportunities, and projects to maximize impact using data and stakeholder input to optimize decision-making.
  • Work with government relations to develop productive relationships to establish state policies and implement tactics for all brands.
  • Execute marketing programs across customer segments using approved materials to deliver value-added messaging; develop and execute strategic programs with near-, mid-, and long-term impact.
  • Drive innovation approaches that help exceed business objectives by engaging leadership.
  • Provide local and customer-specific insights to marketing and strategy teams for market-specific materials.
  • Cultivate relationships and generate support from COEs, KOLs, and organizational decision-makers.
  • Maintain active customer plans and data sets via company planning resources and share with business partners.
  • Exceed product performance objectives for the assigned portfolio of rare disease products.
  • Operate within Tactical Business Objectives (TBO) including portfolio utilization, teamwork, project management, and administration.

Qualifications

  • Must-Have: BS/BA degree or an associate’s degree with 8+ years of experience; or high school diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • 5–10 years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience with at least three years in specialty sales or demonstrated leadership across peer groups with experience selling in a specialized market.
  • Strong track record of sales success, territory management, excellent communications, teamwork, leadership, and accountability.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess account needs and bring compliant cross-functional tools to drive performance.
  • Strong business acumen, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and project management skills; excellent planning and prioritization.
  • Experience with key thought leaders or high-influence customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations (preferred).
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to analyze data and draw compliant conclusions using sales data and call reporting applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; ability to influence and align with company policies.
  • Ability to travel domestically and stay overnight as necessary.
  • Valid US driver’s license and driving record compliant with company standards; DUI/DWI or similar within 7 years will disqualify.
