Role Summary

Senior Health & Science Specialist, Rare Disease Endocrinology – Denver, CO. Targeting key Centers of Excellence and select community practices to drive Pfizer's Rare Disease portfolio, with travel requirements up to 40% based on geography.

Responsibilities

  • Form collaborative partnerships with decision-makers at large COEs, integrated delivery networks, medical groups, and infusion centers to conduct need assessments and deliver compliant solutions to increase access and the appropriate use of Somavert, Ngenla, Genotropin.
  • Utilize advanced selling skills and approaches to achieve sales target goals.
  • Possess in-depth expertise of assigned products and their therapeutic areas, including payer and market issues, patient service offerings, competitors, and disease states.
  • Responsible for commercial communications and contact with COEs, KOLs, HCPs, Growth Hormone Coordinators and patient support staff.
  • Collaborate with Trade and Payer colleagues to execute national and regional payer strategies.
  • Lead local coordination of internal colleagues at targeted accounts to maximize opportunities and enable pull-through of access.
  • Coordinate with partners including sales, government relations, PCA, marketing, and other Pfizer colleagues.
  • Prioritize customers, opportunities, and projects to maximize impact using data and stakeholder input for decision-making.
  • Work with government relations to establish state policies and tactics for all brands.
  • Execute marketing programs across customer segments using approved materials to deliver value-added messaging; develop and execute strategic programs with near, mid, and long-term impact.
  • Drive innovation to exceed objectives by engaging leadership.
  • Provide local market insights to marketing and strategy teams for materials development.
  • Cultivate relationships with COE, KOLs, and decision-makers; maintain active customer plans and data sets.
  • Exceed product performance objectives for the assigned portfolio.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA required or associate’s degree with 8+ years of experience; or high school diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • 5–10 years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience, with at least three years in specialty sales; leadership experience across peer groups preferred.
  • Strong sales track record, territory management, communications, teamwork, leadership, and accountability.
  • Experience assessing account needs and delivering compliant cross-functional tools to drive performance.
  • Strong business acumen, problem-solving, strategic thinking, project management, and prioritization skills.
  • Experience with key thought leaders or high-influence customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations preferred.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to analyze data and draw compliant conclusions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with ability to influence and follow company policies.
  • Ability to travel domestically and stay overnight as necessary.
  • Valid US driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards; DUI/DWI within past 7 years disqualifies.
