Key responsibilities for this role include:
- The Great Plains district includes key markets in ND, SD, MN, IA, KS, and NE.
- Develops, enhances, and increases regional sales performance to meet or exceed annual Company sales and market share objectives; executes corporate sales/marketing direction and regional/district sales strategy (business plan) through the team.
- Develops and maintains customer relationships with key executives and decision makers; responds timely; conducts account reviews; monitors product usage to determine growth/decrease; updates contract information.
- Provides candid, timely feedback to sales representatives; identifies performance challenges; creates plans to address gaps; works with sales director(s) and HR for disciplinary actions up to terminations.
- Analyzes team performance and sales/territory data; tracks and reinforces sales force effectiveness measures (reach/frequency, strategy adherence, tactical implementation, proper use of funds, systems, tools).
- Recruits and retains top talent; coaches/counsels direct reports to maximize performance and professional development.
- Ensures compliance with Company policies/procedures; reports violations to management; maintains high ethical and professional standards.
- Communicates with supervisor/direct reports; fosters best-practices sharing; liaison with home office/region to identify and resolve issues.
- Assesses organizational change management needs and applies tools to manage change impact.
- Creates a high-performance team environment focused on immediate results and long-term strategy; exercises fiscal control on operating budgets.
- Takes direction from Regional Director and ensures cascade to sales representative teams.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree and 8+ years pharmaceutical/healthcare product sales management experience (combination of education/experience considered).
- Must live in the applicable geographic district.
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Prior successful pharmaceutical/healthcare Sales Manager experience (medical devices or other healthcare products preferred).
- Ability to travel 60β70% (includes overnight travel).
- Valid Driverβs License and acceptable driving record.
- Authorization/ability to drive a Company leased vehicle or authorized rental vehicle.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, comprehending, reading, writing).
