Responsibilities:
- Manage, develop, and lead a team of Neuromuscular Clinical Sales Specialists (NCSS) in assigned region.
- Recruit, hire, train, coach, and motivate the sales team; foster a positive culture and ensure continuous performance improvement.
- Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, initiative, and engagement.
- Direct promotion of safe and effective use of FDA-approved products per the product label, training, and company policies.
- Analyze complex business issues and develop customized, high value-added solutions.
- Develop and execute strategic/tactical regional business plans focused on new revenue generation and relationships with key DMD stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key DMD stakeholders in the West region.
- Maintain deep understanding of the DMD environment (disease, local drivers, treatment/referral patterns, key accounts, influence patterns, and barriers to care).
- Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve goals and address issues.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to enhance patient care.
- Attend and lead meetings; flex to take on projects and other duties as requested by senior management.
- Exercise sound judgment aligned with regulatory/compliance guidelines and company policies.
- Anticipate trends affecting promotional strategy and develop action plans.
- Analyze regional sales performance, individual metrics, and CRM input to identify trends, opportunities, obstacles, gaps, and improvements.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching/support.
- Establish and maintain effective regional and cross-regional communications.
- Participate in development and implementation of sales strategy and tactics.
- Partner with Marketing Lead(s) to execute initiatives aligned to product strategy and sales goals.

Qualifications:
- Bachelorโ€™s degree (BA/BS) required; MBA preferred.
- 12+ years of rare disease/biotechnology sales experience required.
- 5+ years leadership experience preferred, including at least 1 pharmaceutical/biotech launch; proven rare disease track record and passion for leading a high-performing team (internal leadership training participants will be considered).
- Previous Neuromuscular, Pediatric Neurology, or other genetic specialty experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory and enforcement environments.
- Excellent leadership/coaching skills; ability to influence and motivate others (consistently in top 10% of sales force).
- Proficient with CRM platforms (e.g., Veeva, Salesforce).
- Passion for improving DMD patient care delivery; strong customer orientation.
- Highly motivated; able to work cross-functionally.
- Skilled with innovative technologies/IT to support business needs.
- Product launch experience in rare disease and subcutaneous/infusion space highly desired.
- Strong communication skills.
- Embraces continuous learning.
- Valid driverโ€™s license in good standing.
- Travel up to 75% (including overnight).
