Senior Director, Thought Leader Liaison Lead

Responsibilities:
- Build, hire, and develop a field-based Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) team; establish infrastructure, processes, and culture.
- Define and execute the TLL strategic plan: KOL identification/segmentation, key account engagement, and peer-to-peer programming based on educational needs.
- Develop and maintain KOL mapping and tiering framework for national, regional, and local thought leader engagement.
- Oversee advisory boards, speaker bureau programs, and congress engagements.
- Oversee regional marketing efforts: consistent brand strategy/messaging across geographies; adapt to local dynamics and key account priorities.
- Build systems to capture and synthesize KOL/field insights to inform internal strategy.
- Establish/monitor performance metrics and MBOs; drive continuous improvement.
- Partner with Marketing for alignment to brand strategy, messaging, commercial priorities, and omnichannel optimization.
- Partner with Medical Affairs/Regional Scientific Director leadership to ensure compliant collaboration and clear delineation of commercial vs. medical engagement.
- Ensure commercial thought leader engagement is compliant with regulatory, legal, and company guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree.
- 12+ years in pharma/biotech commercial roles; 5+ years leading thought leader engagement, strategy, and field-based teams.
- Deep understanding of KOL engagement best practices and compliance; ability to integrate commercial and medical strategy.
- Exceptional communication/relationship-building; cross-functional leadership.
- Initiative and comfort building in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven success leading customer-facing field-based teams in rare disease/specialty/complex launch environments.
- Ability to travel ~50% (overnight and occasional weekend).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, or equivalent).
- Endocrinology experience.
Work Location/Conditions:
- Remote within the U.S. (not considering: AK, AZ, HI, MI, TN). Travel to Cambridge, MA several times/year.
