Patient Advocacy
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead Field Reimbursement Directors and teams supporting Hemophilia and Rare Hematology PSS programs across patient support, access, reimbursement, prior authorization, appeals, financial assistance, and related business issues.
- Manage/resolve day-to-day objectives/issues within FRD/FRM scope; escalate to Head of RBD Onc PSS when necessary.
- Develop account business plans and account-specific strategies/tactics to optimize performance.
- Attract, develop, empower, and retain key talent; minimize regrettable attrition.
- Serve as subject matter expert on patient support, access, reimbursement, prior authorizations, appeals, financial assistance, and patient pull-through.
- Provide field support (coaching, issue resolution, direction, feedback) to Directors and Managers.
- Plan/design/implement territory alignments to support performance.
- Build relationships with key customer segments (internal/external).
- Partner cross-functionally to create a culture of respect and customer focus.
- Develop/review/implement reimbursement programs and tools that strengthen reimbursement support services and align with brand initiatives.
- Coordinate local markets to remove reimbursement obstacles and gain coverage proactively.
- Maintain communication across Patient Services, Sales, Policy/Government Affairs, Market Access, and brand teams; provide timely, actionable information to resolve issues.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree required.
- 8β10 yearsβ experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare with access experience.
- 3+ years managing a team of Field Reimbursement Managers.
- Valid driverβs license.
- 25β50% travel.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
- Rare disease experience strongly preferred.
- Dynamic, energetic leader; strong strategic/analytical/communication skills.
- Understanding of payer landscape and its impact on access.
- Success in a matrix environment (sales, market access, customer/patient services, medical affairs, marketing).
- Ability to quickly build a high-performing team.
- Ability to achieve/maintain compliance with applicable regulatory, legal, and operational rules and require same of team.
