Patient Advocacy
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of the global patient activation strategy for the Rare Diseases portfolio, including implementation of a care pathway optimization model focusing on Systemic mastocytosis.
- Design and implement engagement programs to accelerate diagnosis, reduce diagnostic delays, and improve the patient journey from symptom onset through treatment.
- Drive global execution by defining priorities and ensuring seamless execution and communication.
- Establish KPIs and metrics to measure effectiveness and impact of patient activation initiatives, using data-driven insights to optimize programs.
- Advance and lead breakthrough programs (e.g., Prospective AI & agentic engagement model) to improve referrals, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Ensure patient engagement activities comply with regulatory requirements, ethical guidelines, and industry codes of conduct across all markets.
- Champion patient-centricity by bringing patient insights to leadership discussions and strategic planning.
- Manage budget allocation and resource planning for patient activation initiatives to maximize ROI and impact.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree in life sciences, public health, business, or related field.
- MBA/MPH/advanced degree strongly preferred.
- 3β5+ years of progressive pharmaceutical/biotech experience.
- 3+ years of consulting experience related to AI adoption.
- Rare disease/Systemic mastocytosis experience strongly preferred; experience addressing diagnostic challenges.
- Proven track record building/scaling patient programs from concept to implementation.
- Global experience across cultures and healthcare systems.
- Leadership experience managing teams (including remote/global).
- Strategic thinking; ability to translate strategy into actionable, measurable outcomes.
- Excellent communication/presentation skills; ability to influence senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management in matrixed organizations.
- Experience with digital health technologies and innovative engagement approaches.
