Role: Senior Director of Patient Advocacy responsible for developing and executing Pharming’s patient advocacy strategy, building partnerships with rare disease communities, and integrating patient and caregiver insights into organizational decision-making. Responsibilities: lead strategic engagement with advocacy organizations, translate patient insights into clinical development and commercial strategies, oversee the APDS Clinical Education (ACE) Team, and manage external partnerships, grants, and educational initiatives. Collaborate cross-functionally with Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Marketing to ensure patient perspectives inform programs and research. Oversee the compliance, governance, and operational aspects of patient advocacy activities, including vendor management and budget oversight. Qualifications: BA/BS required; advanced degree preferred. Minimum 10 years’ experience in patient advocacy, community relations, or related healthcare functions, with a focus on immunology or metabolic rare diseases, and experience in rare or ultra-rare disease industry/launch. Proven ability to form strategic partnerships, translate insights into initiatives, and lead cross-functional teams. High-Value: expertise in rare disease patient journeys, advocacy, immunology/metabolic therapies, and experience with regulatory/compliance standards; travel ~30% including visits to NJ headquarters and conferences. Location: Hybrid, with travel.
