Patient Educator Senior Manager (WEST)

Role: Senior Patient Educator Manager in the Western US (LA/SF), focused on supporting patients with sickle cell disease (SCD) and beta thalassemia (BT) by providing education, resources, and engagement related to Vertex's gene therapy. Responsibilities: execute local market strategies, deliver group and 1:1 patient education, conduct community needs assessments, provide insights for marketing, and maintain deep disease understanding. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, document interactions compliantly, and support community events. Requirements: Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred), 6+ years in clinical care, healthcare, patient education, or biotech/pharma, with 2+ years field-based biopharma experience. Preferred: knowledge of rare diseases like SCD/BT, strong relationship-building skills, and digital fluency.
