Role Overview
The Senior Director, Opinion Leader Programming HIV Treatment will report to the Executive Director of Franchise Marketing for the HIV business unit. Drive KOL/account strategy and management for marketing and support key OLP initiatives (speakerโs bureau, advisory boards, conference debriefs, and the opinion leader database). Oversee budgeting and agency partnerships; partner across marketing, medical, and cross-functional stakeholders to implement OLP strategies and tactics.
Essential Duties and Job Functions
- Contribute to long- and short-term US HIV treatment brand strategies and action plan
- Partner with PrEP OLP team to ensure synergies across OL engagement
- Develop OLP strategic and tactical plan
- Oversee key initiatives: speaker bureau, advisory boards, conference debriefs, OL mapping/database, account management, and OL-generated content
- Monitor the HIV landscape and identify opportunities to support brand strategies
- Translate scientific/clinical/epidemiological insights into actionable commercial ideas
- Establish and maintain relationships with opinion leaders, key accounts, and medical associations
- Collaborate with treatment, prevention, franchise marketing, medical, and sales to maximize effectiveness
- Lead cross-functional initiatives with high organizational visibility
- Navigate marketing materials through internal review for regulatory/legal compliance
- Establish OLP team procedures, systems, metrics, and infrastructure
- Synthesize OLP budget, articulate tradeoffs/risks, and recommend decisions
- Design and deliver presentations to internal and external audiences
- Coach, develop, and manage direct reports
- Identify and engage agency partnerships to support OLP efforts
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies

Basic Qualifications
- 14+ years with BS/BA OR 12+ years with MS/MA or MBA
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA in marketing/related fields
- 10+ years of experience
- Bachelorโs degree in marketing/related fields
- Advanced product lifecycle management experience
- Advanced science degree (MD/PharmD/PhD) or advanced business degree (MBA)
- Extensive pharmaceutical product lifecycle management knowledge across therapeutic areas
- Prior people management experience required; biopharmaceutical/pharmaceutical experience preferred
Benefits (if applicable as stated)
Salary range: $261,375.00 - $338,250.00. May be eligible for discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and a benefits package including company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
