What Youโll Do
Build and Lead a New Technology Team
- Establish the Content Strategy Technology team (identity, operating model, culture).
- Recruit and onboard Technology Product Leads for the Content Strategy Technology portfolio.
- Develop, mentor, and lead the team with clear expectations, accountability, and career pathways.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Lead the Content Strategy Technology Strategy
- Own the multi-year technology roadmap across content management, evidence generation, publications, and medical information platforms.
- Integrate platforms/workflows/stakeholder needs into a cohesive ecosystem.
- Translate Medical Affairs priorities into build/buy/partner/retire investment decisions.
- Evaluate emerging technologies (incl. AI-enabled content creation and automated review workflows) and recommend adoption.
Partner with Medical Affairs Stakeholders
- Serve as primary technology advisor to Scientific Communications, Medical Information, Publications, Medical Affairs Research, and Medical Content Strategy.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, compliant solutions balancing performance, data integrity, regulatory needs, and UX.
- Lead global user adoption, training, and change management.
Lead Vendor Strategy and Partnership Management
- Accountable for vendor performance, roadmap alignment, and contract governance.
- Hold vendors to service levels, delivery timelines, and quality standards.
- Create frameworks for vendor selection/evaluation.
What You Bring
Basic Qualifications
- Masterโs + 12 years OR Bachelorโs + 14 years in pharma/life sciences technology, product management, or related.
- 5+ years people management leading technology/platform/product teams.
Preferred Qualifications (selected)
- MBA/advanced degree; deep Medical Affairs domain knowledge (ISR, publications, medical information, scientific communications).
- Enterprise content management experience (doc management, review/approval workflows, publication planning).
- Track record building new capabilities from scratch; executive presence; strong change management.
Location
- Onsite in Foster City, CA or Parsippany, NJ (at least 3 days/week).
Compensation/Benefits (if eligible)
- Bay Area salary range: $261,375โ$338,250; Other US locations: $237,575โ$307,450. May include bonus, stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and company-sponsored medical/dental/vision/life.
