Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive medical data analytics strategy aligned with business and organizational objectives.
- Design and execute advanced analytics solutions to generate medical insights from diverse data sources (RWD, clinical trials, scientific engagement data, medical information).
- Establish and oversee a medical data analytics center of excellence (methodologies, tools, and capabilities).
- Partner cross-functionally to enable data-driven decision-making in medical strategy and operations.
- Evaluate and implement innovative analytics technologies, including AI/ML for medical affairs.
- Develop frameworks to measure and communicate medical affairs impact, including medical care gaps.
- Provide strategic input into data asset strategy for NA medical therapeutic areas.
- Consult NA medical teams on appropriate use of data assets and platforms.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy regulations, and industry standards.
- Build and mentor data scientists and analysts.
- Collaborate with global teams to align approaches, tools, and best practices.
Required Education, Experience & Training:
- PhD, MD, PharmD, or equivalent advanced degree in healthcare/data science.
- 10+ years in healthcare analytics; at least 5 years in pharmaceutical industry.
Preferred:
- Masterβs in data analytics/biostatistics.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Advanced analytics, data science methodologies, and visualization tools.
- Strong medical affairs and pharmaceutical industry knowledge.
- Experience leading analytics teams and complex cross-functional projects.
- Deep knowledge of healthcare data sources, RWE, and clinical data analytics.
- Track record translating analyses into actionable stakeholder insights.
- Business acumen aligning analytics strategy to objectives.
- Experience with Tableau/Power BI and modern analytics platforms.
- Knowledge of healthcare analytics regulations/compliance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Ability to travel as required.
