Who You are / Role Responsibilities
- Lead strategic and tactical planning for branded communications targeting patient and healthcare professional audiences; drive brand performance, including revenue and volume goals for the launch brand.
- Leverage market insights and competitive intelligence to identify growth opportunities; develop launch strategies, integrated tactics, and budget planning using data-driven analysis.
- Oversee HCP-focused product positioning, messaging, and value propositions; create disease state education and branded promotional campaigns.
- Build and execute patient engagement campaigns using patient journey insights; design an integrated media strategy across CRM, web, omnichannel digital, SEO/SEM, and other patient channels.
- Develop and optimize customer segmentation, targeting strategies, and performance KPIs; partner with customer-facing teams to execute launch plans.
- Drive cross-functional alignment across Operations, Sales, Field Marketing, Sales Training, Patient Support, and Payer teams.
- Strengthen relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs); lead advisory boards, speaker programs, and congress planning.
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Legal, and Strategic Operations to ensure compliance and alignment.
- Lead partnerships with external vendors (creative agency of record, medical communications) and ensure marketing deliverables timelines.
- Conduct market research and disseminate competitive intelligence.
- Build a high-performance, results-driven team culture; deliver strategic vision and problem-solving.
- Develop annual brand plans and supporting budgets; manage ROI on spend.
- Direct and manage direct reports (training, goal setting, performance management, coaching/mentoring, career development, and recruitment support as needed).
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
- 15+ years of pharmaceutical product marketing experience
- 6+ years of people management experience
- Deep understanding of disease state science and clinical data
- Strong understanding of clinical trial design and clinical data
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to build enduring productive relationships with thought leaders and stakeholders
- Demonstrated people management and development
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline
- 5+ years of sales experience
- Marketing experience in pulmonary hypertension (PH)
- Pharmaceutical marketing launch experience in rare disease or pharma
- Strong understanding of medical/pharmaceutical coding and reimbursement

Hybrid work requirement
- Hybrid role requiring at least three days per week in Durham, NC office (in-office needs may increase).
