Position Summary
The Senior Director of Marketing and Commercial Development will shape, develop, implement strategic and operational marketing plans to support the implementation, delivery, and execution of Rocket’s core strategic imperatives across its gene therapy portfolio.

Responsibilities
- Drive market development for genetic cardiomyopathies using external partners, multi-channel, and data-driven approaches to build disease awareness and diagnosis.
- Lead cardiomyopathy genetic counseling and testing strategy, including sponsored-testing program (STP) management and testing-education development and deployment.
- Define and own the Genetic Diagnostic Liaison (GDL)/account team customer engagement strategy; ensure GDL/account lead execution of key objectives.
- Shape asset strategy and tactical plans using customer insights (HCP, patients, experts), disease management challenges, and unmet need to form differentiated commercial strategy.
- Build and sustain engagement with external stakeholders (HCPs, diagnostic companies, expert centers, decision makers) to achieve commercial objectives; assess pipeline opportunities with business cases.
- Lead field team coverage of key regional/local congresses to build customer awareness.
- Maintain strong disease/product knowledge and credibility with internal and external customers.
- Ensure compliance and integrity of promotional activity with global regulatory and ethical requirements.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; 15 years of experience in marketing, new product planning, and brand management.
- Experience in rare diseases and/or complex therapeutics with global and US launches.
- Strong expertise in cell and gene therapy or rare cardiology (preferred).
- Demonstrated competence in strategic/operational marketing; leading effective implementation.
- Track record leading marketing/sales teams and influencing in a matrixed global organization.
- Thought leader/KOL engagement experience; ability to build connections with scientific/clinical leaders.
- Brand building success using insight/evidence.
- Understanding of market access, payer coverage, distribution, and reimbursement environment.
- Travel up to 25%.

Compensation/Benefits (as stated)
- Expected salary range: $254,000–$304,000.
- Total rewards may include bonuses, medical/dental/vision, life insurance, 401(k) with match, paid vacation/holidays, global shutdown days, and equity awards for certain roles.
