Position Summary
The Senior Director, Managed Access Programs (MAPs) leads the global implementation and management of Managed Access Programs across multiple disease areas, ensuring compliant and ethical patient access to innovative medicines and appropriate data capture. Partners with cross-functional teams to implement centralized MAP policies, processes, and systems, and ensures compliance with country-specific regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with key partners (WW TA, DD, legal, compliance, RCO, country medical teams) to define and develop managed access strategy across multiple diseases.
- Ensure strategy input from required partners and completion of review/governance processes.
- Partner with GDO/RCO to operationalize MAPs and ensure country rules are followed.
- Implement standardized policies/procedures/best practices across the MAP portfolio.
- Establish and track KPIs; use data/analytics to optimize MAPs.
- Serve as primary internal/external point of contact (Medical Affairs, Development, Commercial, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance) to ensure execution and regulatory compliance.
- Optimize capture and utilization of MAP data/evidence; ensure compliance with privacy laws.
- Provide training and support on MAP processes and best practices.
- Foster innovation and lead initiatives to improve MAP approaches.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in a relevant field (Life Sciences, Patient Access, Pharmacy, Public Health) required.
- 7+ years in pharma/biotech; at least 3 years in a managed access-related role; proven MAP management across a disease area.
- In-depth knowledge of global and local Managed Access regulations/guidelines.
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills; ability to influence across functions.
- Strategic thinking with strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
