Role Summary

Senior Director - HR, Global Services Learning & Development at Lilly. Oversees the Global Services L&D function, aligning learning strategy with enterprise goals, and leading a team of learning professionals to drive capability, performance, and compliance across global functions.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide leadership oversight for Global Services Learning & Development accounts and portfolio (Tech@Lilly, Legal, Ethics & Compliance, Finance/Procurement/GBS, HR); develop learning strategies aligned with enterprise goals; collaborate with functional leaders to identify strategic needs and change priorities; define a strategic roadmap for L&D support across Global Services; allocate resources and influence stakeholders; represent GSLD in enterprise Learning Council and related activities; define data, automation, and AI integration strategy; benchmark practices and support broader Talent Management agenda.
  • Operational Leadership: Implement Corporate Initiatives with design, accessibility, planning, scheduling, testing, and maintenance; ensure consistency in operational processes including qualification and learning plan management; ensure timely reviews of learning plans, courses, curricula, and assignments; lead data quality and content management improvements; establish continuous process improvements; manage departmental budget; demonstrate inclusive leadership and coaching; build and maintain a high-performing team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7-10 years’ experience in learning & development
  • 3-5 years’ direct supervisory experience
  • Instructional design and curriculum development experience, including translations, adaptive learning, and performance support
  • Experience with LMS administration and other learning technologies (course authoring tools and e-learning standards)
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Additional Requirements

  • Location: Indianapolis, Indiana; onsite 3 days per week; limited travel (<10%); time zone flexibility for global collaboration
