Role Summary

Senior Director, GRA Global Regulatory Policy & Strategy - Neuroscience at Lilly. Global Regulatory Policy & Strategy aims to enable Lilly to deliver innovative regulatory results by identifying policy hurdles and emerging trends, developing advocacy plans based on science-based positions, and engaging broad partner networks to influence regulatory policies that advance patient outcomes and improve efficiency in drug development.

Responsibilities

  • Establish Regulatory Policy Positions and External Engagement Strategies: gain consensus on priority global regulatory topics; review regulatory and legislative proposals; articulate policy challenges and future states; develop data to support positions; incorporate external viewpoints; collaborate with internal authorities; build and implement tactical policy plans.
  • Exert External Influence: engage in health-policy forums; triage external engagement opportunities; attend and present at industry conferences; maintain collaborations with external groups; impact patient outcomes through cross-partner collaboration.
  • Effectively Lead, Engage And Partner: model Team Lilly behaviors; demonstrate regulatory excellence; share regulatory information across GRA and Lilly teams; foster open discussions to achieve robust business decisions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: Master's degree or Doctorate in relevant policy, public health, regulatory, clinical, legal, business, research, or related field with 5+ years regulatory/policy/advocacy experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years regulatory/policy/advocacy experience
  • Experience engaging in external consortia and crafting policy issues; leading/public policy campaigns

Additional Skills

  • Established external network in neuroscience; experience shaping neuroscience regulatory policy; prior work with patient and provider organizations
  • Proficient in researching and writing briefings, positions, and high-level communications for executives; ability to influence without authority and operate independently
