Role Summary
Senior Director, GRA Global Regulatory Policy & Strategy - Neuroscience. Responsible for eliciting, developing, and advancing Lilly’s Neuroscience regulatory policy positions and related advocacy strategies to enable innovation and improve patient outcomes. Represent Lilly in external consortia and policy-related forums and collaborate with external collaborators.
Responsibilities
- Establish Regulatory Policy Positions and External Engagement Strategies: gain consensus on priority global regulatory topics; review regulatory proposals; articulate challenges and desired future states; develop data to support positions; incorporate external viewpoints; collaborate with internal stakeholders; build and implement tactical policy plans.
- Exert External Influence: engage in health-policy forums; triage external opportunities; attend and present at industry conferences; maintain collaborations with external groups and think-tanks; impact patient outcomes through partner collaboration.
- Effectively Lead, Engage And Partner: model Lilly behaviors; share regulatory information across teams; foster open discussions to achieve robust business decisions.
Qualifications
- Minimum: Master’s degree or Doctorate in a relevant field with 5+ years regulatory/policy/advocacy experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years experience.
- Experience engaging in external consortia and leading public policy or regulatory policy campaigns.
Skills
- Established external network in neuroscience; experience shaping neuroscience regulatory policy.
- Experience working with patient and provider organizations; proficient in researching and writing briefings and high-level communications.
- Ability to influence without authority; resourceful; independent work style.
Education
- Master’s or Doctorate in policy, public health, regulatory, clinical, legal, business, or related field; or Bachelor’s with substantial relevant experience as a substitute.
Additional Requirements
- Travel up to 20%.
- Location preference: Indianapolis, IN or Washington DC; remote (US) considered.
