Role Summary

The Senior Director of Global Warehouse Management Transformation will lead our SAP S/4 EWM implementation journey and drive transformation across our Global MedTech Supply Chain. This leadership role provides guidance for developing and executing the SAP S/4 EWM decentralized technology roadmap and key initiatives. The role champions WMS modernization, automation, and technology transformation as enablers of strategic goals, collaborating with OTC, SC Management, and Finance to design and implement SAP Warehouse Management solutions that meet business objectives. It is pivotal in ensuring successful deployment and optimization of the technology landscape across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the vision for global warehouse management transformation, ensuring alignment with corporate and supply chain goals.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy and phased implementation roadmap that balances innovation with operational continuity.
  • Oversee the design and scalable architecture of a global SAP S/4 Warehouse Management solution and its integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with business partners, solution architects, and integrator teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and drive implementation.
  • Manage multiple full lifecycle implementations of SAP S/4 Warehouse Management, ensuring projects meet objectives for time, scope, and budget.
  • Foster collaboration, innovation, and professional development through mentorship and knowledge sharing.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of transformation initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior leadership on the progress and impact of transformation efforts.
  • Lead the development and implementation of standardized warehouse management processes, balancing global consistency with local needs.
  • Identify, mitigate, and resolve risks and challenges to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of program commitments aligned with quality and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Shape and deliver all program phases, including roadmap creation and execution, leveraging best practices in project management (waterfall and agile).
  • Define and track success metrics (e.g., operational efficiency, cost savings, and customer satisfaction) to measure transformation outcomes.
  • Oversee the design and development of global WMS architecture and solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Drive alignment with stakeholders by leading milestone planning, consensus discussions, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Leverage system integratorsโ€™ expertise to optimize program execution and results.
  • Allocate necessary resources, including technology, personnel, and budget, to ensure project success.
  • Define roles and responsibilities in collaboration with IT, logistics, and operations teams.
  • Engage and align stakeholders at all levels, fostering buy-in, accountability, and clear communication.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships while addressing and resolving concerns to sustain support for transformation initiatives.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to project timelines, budgets, deliverables, and operational continuity, including technology integration and regulatory compliance challenges.
  • Develop contingency plans and establish metrics to monitor risks and evaluate mitigation strategies throughout the transformation lifecycle.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal governance policies, and best practices for data management, security, and compliance.
  • Implement policies and procedures to support safe, efficient, and compliant warehouse operations.
  • Lead the assessment of current workflows and identify areas for optimization.
  • Develop and roll out standard operating procedures (SOPs) to harmonize global operations.
  • Integrate Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies to minimize waste and improve productivity.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives (e.g., advanced automation and warehouse management systems (WMS)).

Qualifications

  • Required: A minimum of a bachelorโ€™s degree
  • Required: 12+ years of progressive professional experience in program management, operations, and/or business leadership roles within Supply Chain, Commercial or large transformation or digital programs.
  • Required: 10+ years of experience in large, global organizations in cross-functional roles with progressive responsibility specifically in SAP ERP implementations.
  • Required: 10+ years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources.
  • Required: 3+ years of SAP Warehouse Management functional experience supporting warehouse management and inventory management business functions.
  • Required: Deep knowledge of logistics and deliver and supply chain business process.
  • Required: Strong complex program management leadership and experience.
  • Required: Ability to set a clear vision for global WMS transformation and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve it.
  • Required: Expertise in aligning WMS initiatives with broader organizational goals and supply chain strategies
  • Required: Strong track record of managing complex, multi-site transformation projects within deadlines and budgets
  • Required: Proven ability to collaborate across franchises, business sectors, and disciplines
  • Required: Proven experience leading people centric technology initiatives.
  • Required: Ability to align teams to best practices and champion new innovative methodologies across digital trends, platforms, and standards
  • Required: Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Preferred: Graduate degree/studies in science, business, engineering, finance or organizational management or equivalent experience
  • Preferred: SAP experience is strongly preferred
  • Preferred: Proven capability to drive organizational change, manage resistance, and build consensus among stakeholders
  • Preferred: Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to streamline operations and eliminate inefficiencies
  • Preferred: Strong ability to integrate emerging technologies like AI, robotics, or IoT to futureproof warehouse operations
  • Preferred: Familiarity with agile principles for iterative development and deployment
  • Preferred: Deep understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (eg, SAP EWM, Manhattan, Blue Yonder) and their integration with broader ERP systems
  • Preferred: Expertise in end-to-end supply chain processes, including inbound/outbound logistics, inventory control, and fulfillment
  • Preferred: Proficiency in data driven tools and techniques to analyze operations, model solutions, and improve efficiency
