General Summary
- Lead commercialization launch strategy for Vertexโs chronic pain franchise, including the launch of Journavx in painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy (pDPN) and future chronic pain indications. Define launch indication strategy, patient/customer insights, positioning, and core messaging; drive cross-functional alignment.
Responsibilities
- Own brand strategy for all chronic pain indications, beginning with Journavx pDPN, aligned to global strategy.
- Build pain portfolio brand development and launch readiness; pDPN as a model for future pain products.
- Lead asset brand development (target patient population, product positioning, brand strategy).
- Own market dynamics and customer insights (payer, HCP, consumer) to inform launch readiness and commercialization opportunities.
- Develop and execute launch readiness plans with success factors and progress tracking; collaborate with US team for field force deployment, promotional strategies, and access planning.
- Drive branded HCP campaign development.
- Provide forecasting input and lead competitive scenario planning for long-range planning.
- Partner cross-functionally on clinical, patient, and economic value propositions.
- Engage external customers via congresses, field visits, and insights generation.
- Foster a culture of compliance, ethics, and integrity.
Qualifications / Required Skills
- Proven experience defining brand/portfolio strategies and applying insights to business opportunities.
- Strong analytical skills; data-driven recommendations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong written/verbal communication and executive presence.
- In-depth understanding of legal/regulatory/compliance requirements for pre- and post-approval activities.
Preferred
- Global commercial strategy/planning experience for pipeline assets.
- Fast-paced innovation environment experience.
- Ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams.
Education / Experience
- Bachelorโs degree in science, business, or marketing; MBA/PhD preferred.
- 12+ years healthcare/biopharma experience (marketing, consulting, or agency) or equivalent.
