Senior Director, Clinical Supply Product Budget Management & Sourcing Lead
Purpose / Scope
- Provide enterprise leadership for global comparator and standard of care sourcing across R&D clinical trials; govern the Clinical Supply Chain portfolio budget (~$300M) covering comparators, standard of care, and IRT.
- Own external alliances, portfolio-level financial governance, and digital enablement; balance cost, risk, and speed to market.
- Drive visibility into comparator usage and reduce comparator-related wastage.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a globally distributed organization for comparator/standard of care sourcing, alliance management, and oversight of clinical supply and IRT budgets.
- Define and execute portfolio-level sourcing strategies aligned to clinical development priorities, cost efficiency, risk mitigation, and CD&OP planning.
- Identify and drive sourcing/budget/execution efficiencies via standardization, planning, and data-driven decisions.
- Champion digital enablement and process innovation, including quantification/monetization of clinical supply waste.
- Partner cross-functionally; act as senior external interface for comparator/supply partnerships and benchmarking.
- Ensure regulatory/financial/transparency compliance (including Sunshine Act reporting) and mitigate portfolio risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelorโs or advanced degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 15+ years in clinical supply chain, clinical development operations, or related pharmaceutical leadership.
- Proven leadership across operational execution, regulatory/quality/compliance risk, and enterprise financial trade-offs.
