Purpose: Enterprise leadership for global comparator and standard-of-care sourcing across R&D clinical trials; accountable for ~ $300M Clinical Supply Chain portfolio budget (comparators, standard of care, IRT), external alliances, portfolio financial governance, and digital enablement.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a global organization for comparator/standard-of-care sourcing, alliance management, and oversight of clinical supply and IRT budgets.
- Build KPI-driven teams; define and execute portfolio sourcing strategies aligned to clinical priorities (cost, risk, speed, scalability, CD&OP).
- Identify and drive sourcing/budget/execution efficiencies via standardization and data-driven decisions.
- Champion digital enablement/process innovation, including visibility and monetization/quantification of clinical supply waste.
- Serve as senior interface for external partnerships; represent BMS externally (e.g., TransCelerate Comparator Network, wholesaler engagement).
- Own governance and long-range planning for comparator/standard-of-care/clinical supply/IRT budgets; partner with R&D Finance for forecasts and enterprise reporting.
- Ensure regulatory/financial transparency compliance (including Sunshine Act reporting) and proactively mitigate supply/financial/execution risks.
Qualifications:
- BS/advanced degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 15+ years in clinical supply chain, clinical development operations, or related pharmaceutical leadership roles.
- Proven ability to lead decisions across operational, regulatory/quality/compliance, and enterprise financial trade-offs; experience across R&D/clinical ops/supply functions.
- Success partnering with Global Procurement and contracting with external parties.
