Main Responsibilities:
- Serve as a legal team member supporting the Vaccines business unit, coordinating legal assistance across commercial matters and collaborating with related practice areas and functions.
- Act as legal lead for marketed and investigational products in the Vaccines portfolio, advising internal groups including commercial, sales, medical affairs, and others.
- Manage the review and negotiation of certain contracts and amendments related to the Vaccines business unit.
- Manage multiple subject matter issues across diverse areas; identify and coordinate with appropriate subject matter experts.
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders on adherence to company values and priorities, monitor legislative developments impacting the business, and manage internal/external resources.
- Provide prompt, strategic legal input with limited supervision; independently prioritize matters; identify legal issues (promotional matters, regulatory issues, fraud and abuse) and propose risk-mitigating solutions.
- Escalate issues internally and with outside counsel when appropriate.
Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS and Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school; valid license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Minimum 7 years of legal experience.
- Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, and other corporate standard software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with a pharma/biotech company, FDA or other relevant governmental agency, or a law firm working on life sciences-related matters.
